A off-the-shoulder Halo & Wren wedding dress and bespoke Tilly Thomas Lux Chandelier earrings for an elegant wedding at home

I completely fell in love with lovely bride Lucy when she came to see me for an appointment last year. I loved hearing all about her plans for her wonderful New Years Eve wedding. Lucy had always wanted to get married at home and it was always her dream to get married at her parents' house in the garden. These gorgeous pictures by Story and Colour have captured it all so beautifully.

“I love new years eve and how magical and sparkly it is. Shaan and I also have spent a lot of happy new years eve together even when I was in hospital one new years eve with a burst appendix - Shaan was by my side and still made it fun. So, a new years eve wedding in a marquee came from that.

I wanted to create a warm cosy romantic atmosphere with a celestial theme, we had pink undertones too with pops of colour from the flowers and greenery. We had some amazing suppliers that helped created the atmosphere but also friends on hand, one of my bridesmaids wrote our table plan on a mirror beautifully for us. For food we went for a italian theme as we love italy and had lots of fun food tasting for this.

Shaan and I's main aim was for our friends to have fun and feel special, which we feel like they did. We made the event black tie because I love to dress up, but we also wanted it feel inviting and casual, so things like my brother did the marriage as we were already legally married a week before - he made it special but light hearted. We picked out cocktails we designed ourselves made sure there was plenty of champagne and had cafe patron shots to toast with - as well as lots of pizza to soak that up! Our band played lots of 90s throwbacks and the DJ did a lot of garage and some of the essential wedding cheese. To end the wedding my dad arrange some fire-works which was so much fun and ended the night on a real high.”

I love Lucy’s beautiful off-the-shoulder dress by Halo & Wren and the bespoke earrings I designed for her were the perfect finishing touch.
