A bespoke celestial and mermaid inspired Tilly Thomas Lux crown for a stunning bride
Working with brides is my absolute favourite thing to do, so when I get messages like the one below it’s honestly the most special thing. I worked with beautiful bride Tiffany to create a bespoke crown for her big day and I’m totally thrilled with the way it turned out and Tiffany is so happy with it.
“I just wanted to let you know how amazing your work is and how amazing you made me feel on my special day! My wedding theme was ‘modern tropical’ but since I wanted to incorporate an element of stars/moons/celestial, I decided to add those details to my bridal accessories! You captured perfectly the "mermaid celestial" feel that I was going for with my whole wedding look! I felt like Beyonce and Ariel from the Little Mermaid all at the same time! Your beautiful crown really completed my bridal look and I felt like it was the highlight of my whole outfit. It completely let me express myself in the most AMAZING way.
It was even more amazing that my mom helped me put my crown on when I was getting ready. In my culture, mothers are suppose to hand down family jewelry and adored their daughters as they are getting ready. While we did not go the traditional route, my mom was essential in helping me design and purchasing my crown. She was so in love with the design of the crown when she saw it in person!
Most people that know me well were not surprised that I wore a crown on my wedding day (I am pretty bold in my fashion pieces). But they were completely amazed at the craftsmanship and how unique the design was! It was not your ordinary ‘princess’ bridal crown. It was my AMAZING, mermaid-celestial goddess, Beyonce, Queen vibes, sparkly, beautiful MASTERPIECE!
I will cherish this crown forever and it will definitely be my own personal statement piece that people will identify me with. I hope to pass this crown down to my daughter on her wedding day and have this crown be a family heirloom. I’m not going to lie… I shed a tear when I read that. The thought of Tiffany placing the crown on her daughter’s head one day is truly overwhelming and I’m so grateful Tiffany chose to trust me with making her crown. All I’ve ever wanted to do is make beautiful things that women love so this makes me so happy!
