Tilly Thomas Lux Calypso headpiece and stunning beaded wedding dress for a Manor House wedding
No two TTL brides are the same and that’s one of the things I love so much about what I do. However, there is one piece that is popular year after year and that’s the Calypso. I think the Calypso is so special because it’s the perfect mix of feminine and edgy so it can suit so many different styles and themes. I love how brides wear it so differently and lovely Holly styled it to perfection on her big day.
Holly married her new husband Martin in June 2019 at Middleton Lodge Estate in the North East, close to where Holly grew up. I love their choice of venue! The Estate is so beautiful and is made up of a beautiful Georgian Manor House (with a secret cellar bar), a gorgeous Coach House along built by the current owners, a Fig House and secret walled garden. The couple hosted their fabulous three day wedding there as it had everything they wanted. When it came to decor, they wanted to create something timeless and chic, yet impactful. Holly knew exactly how she wanted everything to look and I love her personalised neon light in the marquee and a disco ball hanging from a tree in the garden. (Every wedding needs a disco ball in my opinion!)
Holly’s dress is STUNNING! I love the beaded top with the lovely flower detail. She looked sensational! The Calypso can be worn in a couple of different ways so, for the ceremony, Holly wore her hair up with the headpiece at the back of her head, then she changed for the evening and wore her hair down and switched it to the front. I can’t decide which version I love more!
Huge congratulations to Holly and Martin! I’m so happy that Holly chose to wear TTL on her big day and i wish the couple every happiness in their new lives together.
With love and sparkle,
Sally xxx
