A Zac Posen gown and Tilly Thomas Lux stars for a Scottish wedding
My lovely bride Kristina married her new husband Luke in September in her homeland of Scotland on a glorious sunny day. The couple got married in Kristina’s local Kingdom Hall, then had their reception in a cosy country house on Loch Ard, Aberfoyle. It looks like the most dreamy venue, with rolling hills and forests behind the loch and huge gardens with a waterfall.
“We had an intimate meal of 21, just immediate family and bridal party, all round one big family table. Then we had an extra 100 or so in the evening to hear our speeches, I cried the whole way through mine but a massive YES to bride speeches from me!! Then we danced the night away with stone oven pizzas and a dessert table of dreams! (cookies, brownies and cheesecake over wedding cake any day.) With the weather being so great and the incredible scenery, it was the most dreamy but relaxed day! Super informal, just how we wanted. When the sun started to set, Luke and I went out on a little row boat which made for gorgeous photos and footage!”
Kristina wanted her wedding look to be timeless and classic with a little twist and her Zac Posen gown was a perfect choice. I’m so pleased she decided to wear a selection of Tilly Thomas Lux stars for her big day.
“I knew way before meeting Luke, I’d have one of your hair pieces on my wedding day! I instantly fell in love with them, something so timeless but different! My dress had too much going on to have a veil and having tried on headbands and crowns, they just weren’t quite right. The hair pins were the perfect little sparkle I needed! I never have my hair up, so my lovely sister in law gave me soft bouncy curls with my pins on the side. They looked so dreamy!! My lovely grandma bought these pins for me, she wanted to add to some part of what I was wearing on the day. So they have so much sentiment to me! I got so many compliments on them on the day and people coveting them when I’ve worn them since! One guy mate said he never particularly notices bridal hair and pieces but he loved mine! You so obviously put so much time and love into your pieces, they really are works of art! I can’t wait to wear them again and again into our marriage! Thank you so so much Sally for your beautiful work and making me feel like me with a little zhush on the happiest day of my life!”
I always love reading words like this from my brides and I love that Kristina plans on wearing her stars again and again. Huge congratulations to the lovely couple and all the best for your lives together.
Love and sparkle,
Sally xx
